Blue Testimony
Let the winds of change
Pluck the strings of a guitar
I am unable to obtain.
For my voice must recite
the blues, on its own.
It is my story, my pain,
climbing the walls of truth
and spiritual injustice.
The wretched days possess my time.
But not my soul.
Neither shall they hook claws
into my stories, that are told,
by this singing ache, I must release.
It is my blues. My testimony.
I realize that being a " niche " artist gets a person alot of attention on Instagram. And I could be this type of artist, but I would also be miserable. It works well, for some, but not others. I am a very complex individual. There are several layers that define me as a person. I can focus on one particular subject, for a period of time. But, I will have to change my focus, to other things that matter to me, in my life. And this might not interest my followers, or any potential newcomers. But it is the risk, that I take, for being honest with myself as a creative person. It would be self abuse, to abandon several ideas, and repeat one or two for the rest of my artistic journey. And I am no longer interested in the option of drawing various ideas, and keeping them hidden in my home, while shining a spotlight, exclusively on one theme.
