A Blues Revisited

How did I miss this?
This loneliness, from long ago.
It died, when new heights
were revealed, in my spirit.
Or, so I thought.
But here it is again.
On this wretched evening.
Slithering through my silence.

My favorite rock band is The Doors. And I began to write poetry, after being inspired by the band's lead singer, Jim Morrison. He influenced alot of my earlier writings, when I discovered how powerful words can be in my own life. I wrote poems often, whenever there were random thoughts, anxiety and depressive episodes. It helped me survive the horrors of my teenage years. Jim Morrison's creative expression, taught me, that freedom exists in poetry, and a source that is infinite, resides within myself.
