1. " Ain't Thinkin' 'Bout It " is one of my favorite drawings so far. The position and foreshortening, is one of the greatest ways to express my foot fetish in a drawing. The lines are simple, yet very effective. The title was inspired by a musical composition, performed by one of my favorite jazz pianists, named Bobby Timmons. The body gesture of this piece and facial expression, suggests that his mood, is one with such an attitude, as my chosen title.

2. I was trying to hang on to every subject, that interested me. The trees were still being drawn, periodically, along with other styles and mediums for subjects of interest. I would work on one piece for a certain amount of time, and switch to other pieces within one setting, each day. This kept all of my ideas and creative urges satisfied. But, I realized that this kind of work ethic was not ideal. I prefer to focus on less, during a given period of time, with more effort and patience. This also prevents less chances of experiencing burnout.

3. This piece turned out better than I expected. The sketch that was created initially, was a favorite of mine. And I decided to make a final drawing of it. The first drawing involved partially filled in areas of ink wash, to give it an unfinished, yet effective aesthetic. After viewing the results, I did not feel satisfied at all with it. I felt like it was over expressing, what could be more essential and effective, without washes. I created another drawing with Micron pens, and excluded my washes.

1. " Takeout " is adapted from a panel of the " Plugged " comic strip. I wanted to recreate a realistic scene, with more details. And I used washes to integrate soft shadows, cast from the window's light.

2. I wanted to see how my comic strip would look in the ballpoint pen and ink wash style, again. And I also wanted to use a more simplistic approach, with the wash layers. At the time, when this strip was produced, I liked the effect. But, the fondness, was reduced, shortly afterwards. And I decided, to stop creating comic strips, during this period. I felt overwhelmed with too many ideas and options, to pursue creatively. This was not the first time, that I experienced  such a moment. And it probably will not be the last.

3. This is another adaptation from the " Plugged " comic strip. I experimented with drawing individual panels, in different mediums. This adaptation was also done with my ballpoint pen and ink washes. I liked this approach, and the composition. But the fluctuations of perceptions, during this period became overwhelming and confusing. This is because I was not willing to fully embrace the changes. I still held on to the idea of using one medium and approach, to my ideas, because it was comfortable. Art supplies were stored into my closet. and taken out again. I was haunted by the desire to see these men, created with various techniques, textures and colors! But the overall thought of having to do this, was becoming too stressful and tedious! I still struggle with this. But, I continue to work on it, and take my time. And I realize everything does not have to be done at once.
