1. Shower Sex # 4

2. Shower Sex # 5

3. Quilted Patterns

4. The Tragic Hours

The Monstrous Shadow

1. Shower Sex # 4, is a close-up of the action. This series did not extend into a long one, like Body Machine. It said what was needed, in just a few drawings. I usually prefer them short and simple, like  this.

2. Shower Sex # 5, satisfied me with the final results. I really like the intensity of their facial expressions, as they look into each other's eyes. I have seen this in porn, particularly straight porn, and like the rawness of it.

3. Quilted Patterns, is one of my favorite drawings, that I created. I wanted a " busy " but " balanced " composition, that centered on this nude beauty. He appears to chill, in his contentment and comfort, while maintaining a cool confidence in himself. I have drawn this piece, at least three times. The first one, was a bigger size (14 x 17), in colored pencils. I liked it so much, at the time, I revisited it and created a pen and ink version. This was also 14 x 17. And later, I wanted to draw one in my standard 9 x 12 size, that suits my ideas, consistently. This is the one, that became the final version, and the most satisfactory of the three also.

4. The Tragic hours, was drawn at work, during a depressive episode. It was therapeutic, to create a piece, that told a painful story, because it relieved my own pain, during that particular period. It is about emotional grief, during a very troubling and desperate moment, when one feels hopeless, and overwhelmed by a situation.

5. The Monstrous Shadow, is a piece I wanted to do of a landscape with the Micron pens and brush pen. I drew different versions, using other mediums. The first was created in pencil, and it turned out well. But, then I wanted to do a Micron version, with ink wash, and it was my least favorite of the set. This version gave satisfactory results, as it appeared to be the sharpest in details. I really like how the clouds turned out. I wanted to capture the intensity that clouds can often display. And usually, I have noticed this during sunsets.
