1. " Body Builders " is more of a " solid doodle " as compared to my usual drawings. I was experimenting with techniques, using my Micron pens. I added a little effect, using stippling, in which is a technique that involves creating multiple dots with the pen. It is a different, and earlier piece, created before I discovered how to use the Microns, to achieve certain results, that satisfied me more.

2." Party And Play # 2 " Is another drawing from the colored inks period. I like how this piece turned out. The color scheme was tricky for me, because of my choice of cool colors to compliment the warm colors of the men. I did not know how effective the cool of the blues would blend with the overall drawing. Color is a gamble for me. The spontaneity of it is fun, but the amount of work is not something I enjoy doing over, if it does not work on the first drawing. I do not mind re-doing black and white drawings, because it is like a natural response, I have with the rendering of my ideas. I prefer the essential method of drawing, such as black and white. Using color, has always been more of a mood for me, instead of an exclusive style.

3. " While Everyone Is Away " was fun to create. I thought about the sneakiness of two men, hooking up for sexual gratification. These two, especially the bottom, really let go and did their thing. The bottom seems to enjoy pleasing himself, and the top simultaneously. I enjoyed adding to this drawing, as it progressed. I had never done a piece quite as ambitious as this one, before it was created. My favorite area is the top's foot, that I was able to fit into the scene, before meeting the edge of the Bristol board. I was definitely satisfied with the finished results.

4. " Dancer # 2 " was another random drawing, I did, during lunch and break times at work.

5. " Oak Hollow # 2 " is one of the strongest pieces, among my tree drawings. The hatching lines and bark shapes, turned out very bold and striking with texture and values. The focus on a smaller area of the tree, provides a great study, and makes me appreciate the entire form. The hollows are very distinct on each individual tree.

6. The Moonlight And You, ( to read the blog entry for this drawing see the very first blog post entitled " An Introduction ". )
